BIO: Born in Germany and raised in the hills surrounding Charlotte, North Carolina, Joshua Niven has always had a need to be creative. During his formative years, Josh became intrigued and influenced by the local photography scene and was further inspired through spending time with his grandmother who is a prolific artist. Joshua has a degree in photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2012. His work focuses on nature, the surreal and hyperreal. In addition to making artwork, Joshua is an avid skateboarder, hiker (he completed and documented the entire Appalachian trail on foot in 2013), and regularly explores and creates in the Low Country waterways on his swamping boat.
